about me

Thanks for visiting my blog, where you'll find ideas and inspiration for a little art and a little craft.

Lisa Liza Lou is a childhood nickname from my mother. It has a sweet little sing-song feel to it, doesn't it?  :-)

I am an artist, crafter, teacher and writer, as well as a marketing consultant for solopreneurs and small businesses in the art and craft industry.

I serve on the Board of Directors for the Concord Art Association and I am a City Council-appointed Commissioner on the Concord Pavilion Community Outreach Committee.

My art has been featured in a number of local galleries and my project designs have been published in several compilation books and magazines. I have authored two craft project books of my own - Craft Your Stash and Stylish Craft Foam Projects.

I've designed projects and video tutorials for many manufacturers of art and craft products, including Marabu Creative, Spellbinders, Ranger Ink, DecoArt, SmoothFoam, Plaid, Walnut Hollow and Joy Letters.

I've written and designed for several major craft publications and websites, such as FaveCraftsCraftFoxes and Bella Crafts. I also write an arts column in our local monthly newspaper, The Concord Clayton Pioneer.

I was part of a winning duo on TLC's reality TV show, Craft Wars, which aired nationally in 2012 and internationally in 2013.

I am available to teach a variety of creative workshop/demo topics for retailers, shows, retreats, or private studios. Contact me to discuss dates and fees!

• Fabric painting
• Art journaling

• Mixed media
