Moonlit Path - Creekside Art Show

Moonlit Path - 8x10 acrylic

I painted this to hang in the Creekside Art Show during the first weekend of April at the Clayton Library. It began on a black-gessoed canvas as just some stripes going up and down - which ended up looking like the bark of tree trunks, and some heavily-ribbed brush strokes going across - which looked like tree roots across a path. And the scene took shape from from there.

Now this is hanging in the meeting room of the Concord Library through the end of June, along with 4 more of my older mixed media pieces.
