Home décor challenge with Kunin Felt, Beacon Adhesives and Buttons Galore - giveaway!

windowpane felt fabric wallhanging lisa fulmer

The Designer Crafts Connection has a new challenge this month! Our generous sponsors are Kunin FeltBeacon Adhesives and Buttons Galore - and we have a fabulous prize drawing for you!

For my home décor project, I made a windowpane wallhanging. I wrapped a canvas with hand-dyed blue ombré fabric, then glued nine squares of felt in a windowpane grid. Fabri-Tac worked beautifully! I glued the colorful buttons at the bottom with 3-in-1 Advanced Craft Glue.

I love the bright solids with the tie-dye felt - these are Eco-Fi Plus Premium felt sheets made from recycled plastic bottles. This is just about the easiest and quickest wallhanging you could make! The bright colors remind me of looking out at a garden, and the buttons seem like flowers blooming in a window box.

Use the DCC logo on my sidebar to hop through the other fabulous designers' blogs this week to see what they created with their felt, glue and buttons! And don't forget to enter to win the big prize!

  2. I create all kinds of mixed media from collaging on canvas and journals to knitting and crocheting with fiber and wire using buttons. They are a huge part of my art I collect them in all sizes, shapes and colors. I love the feel of a bucket of buttons, and the array of colors are breathtaking. Lissag123@verizon.net
