Metal embossed panels

Last month, my ATC group had fun creating these "embossed" wood panels (3"x5") with aluminum tape from the hardware store. You lightly glue down an arrangement of textural elements like netting, twine and chipboard shapes and cover it with aluminum tape. Then you use your fingers and/or a dull stylus (the end of a paintbrush handle works nicely) to gently press the tape into all the nooks and crannies. Paint it with alcohol inks, embellish the top, use metal texturizing tools...so fun!

I made the pink fleur-de-lys design in the lower right, and the other three were made by my friends Liz, Cathy and Uni.
