Wood scrapbook panel to celebrate a trip to the island

This week on Cool2Craft, my special Hawaiian-themed wood panel is featured in an episode all about having fun with words. Click here for complete project instructions and my video tutorial.

These art panels are really great to stain, paint or decoupage. I wanted the natural woodgrain to show around the edges of this project, so I just stained it lightly.

My friend Glenna had brought me these wonderful papers and embellishments from a scrapbook store she went to during her recent trip to Maui. I gave this frame to my mom to display one of her favorite photos from her trip to Hawaii a few years ago.

The word "ho'olaule'a" means celebrate!
