I just took a class with my friend Manon - she paints gorgeous abstract watercolors with loads of interesting textures. She showed us all the different ways she adds interest to her paintings - things that react with the water or the pigments to create something a little unpredictable. We played with salt, saran wrap, cheesecloth, inks, resists - so much fun!
These are the two works I started in class and finished at home. The one above is called Swarming (12x12") and the one below is called Misty Mountains (9x14").
