independence day tabletop decoration lisa fulmer

Today I taught a craft class at my local library - we made this 4th of July tabletop decoration. Click here for the full tutorial.

The good people at Smoothfoam and Craft Attitude were kind enough to donate some supplies for my class! My library has lots of really nice activities for the community and they're all free to attend.

CHA Paper Arts Show Blog Hop with KaiserCraft

paper leaf winter wreath by lisa fulmer

Today is the last day of a week-long blog hop hosted by the Craft & Hobby Association to promote the Paper Arts+ Show in July in Chicago. I'm so happy to be part of the hop!

CHA designers teamed up with craft product manufacturers who will be exhibiting at the show to highlight some of the exciting new products coming out this year. Be sure to check out the prize drawing details at the end of this post.

I'm working with KaiserCraft's new holiday line called Silver Bells - romantic, floral Christmas papers (two-sided) in muted shades of teal and rose.

Creating with Joy Iron-On Embroidered Letters

love washi tape handmade greeting card lisa fulmer

Today the Designer Crafts Connection is hoppin' with our friends at Joy - makers of embroidered iron-on letters and appliqués for wearables and home décor.

Always the one to ignore the rules, I decided to use my letters on a greeting card instead. I really like the softness that the dimensional embroidered letters bring to a papercraft project, as opposed to chipboard.

20 ways to inspire: Week 20 - The final prompt

Well here we are, a scant five months later, and my #20waystoinspire series of creative prompts on the Bella Crafts Quarterly blog has come to a close.

This series of blog posts was a spin-off from my Creative Space column in their Winter 2014 issue, where I listed all twenty prompts as a challenge to find creative inspiration in everyday places.

Week 20: Thinking about who you love
In my final post, the prompt is about love - with a throwback to one of the greeting cards I made when I first started blogging in 2008.

I'm still going to be blogging for Bella twice a month about creative inspiration and what I make of it. Look for my next post there on May 30th - and be sure to check out my Creative Space column in Bella Crafts Quarterly. Click here to view the current Spring 2015 issue - I talk about establishing "command central" in your craft space.

It don't mean a thing if it ain't got that bling!

gold star plaque

This month, our theme for the Designer Crafts Connection blog hop is all about the bling, baby. And you just gotta love that bling comes in soft self-adhesive sheets that you can cut into any shape you want.
